What does every good marketer really do? He creates relationships. She make friends. When you begin to think of marketing in this way, everything about marketing becomes more fun. Suddenly there is no foreignness, no fear, no feelings of inadequacy. We can all make friends. It's a talent we've had since we were little children. Use it.

Always do your best. And always, always have fun.

Promote Your Books: The Top 10 Things
My good friend Alex Carroll and I will be interviewing each other during free teleconferences coming up. The first one is this Monday evening (March 28th at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time; 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time). During this teleconference, Alex will be interviewing me on book marketing. Two weeks later, I'll interview him on getting radio publicity.

In Monday's teleseminar, I will share 10 things you can do in the next week to sell more books. Here's some of what you'll learn:

* Why 90% of all marketing is wasted ... and how to keep this from happening to you.

* The method by which 80% of all books are sold ... and how to tap into it.

* 10 ways to slice and dice rights for maximum return.

* The optimal amount of time that you should spend on marketing any good book.

* The one secret that all of marketing ultimately comes down to. If you don't understand this basic principle, you will ultimately fail as a book marketer. Indeed, you will fail in life as well.

* The most crucial thing that should be on the front page of your website.

* How to go from nowhere to #1 on Google for your key search term.

* The best place to hide your book in your own home.

To get on the teleseminar call 580-474-3600. The passcode is 222089#.

Again that's this coming Monday evening, March 28 at 5PM Pacific/8PM Eastern.

If you can't make the conference call, you can pre-order the audio CD (14.95 for the next 7 days ... $19.95 after that) at this web site: Alex's order form.

Hi, John Kremer:

I enjoy your newsletters, and since I haven't done a thing today to promote my books, I'll send you a blurb.

I've written two fiction novels...and have a third and fourth on the way. To read about these, please go to my website, where you will find information about both books, and about me.

Thanks for reading.

Hi John,

I've been learning from your newsletters and book since 1997 and I have successfully self-published three novels. Anyone can visit www.BEE-CONBOOKS.com and acquaint themselves with "DAMAGED!, the first psychological thriller ever written and published by an African American, listed in Marquis' Who's Who In America 2004; "THE PARCEL EXPRESS MURDERS" a romantic murder mystery and my latest "INHERITED", a bachelor inherits twins, doesn't know if they're his or who the mother is.

Keep up the great work.

Bobjour John,
So sorry I missed your seminar. Could use your good advice. Have your book 1001 Ways to Market Your Books, but your seminar sounds like you have some new good ideas.
My book IT STOPS WITH ME: MEMOIR OF A CANUCK GIRL is a ForeWord Book of the Year Finalist has gotten great kudos from luminaries like Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Louise Erdrich, Margaret Randall, and is distributed by Biblio to the Trade and Quality Books to Libraries. It's the author's and publisher's job to do PR to push sales to the distributors - any ideas on how we can do that?
Reviews have been great, but we missed getting pre-pub reviews and it's been harder getting the word out. Any ideas?
TouchArt Books is trying to set up an author's appearance in LA at Book Soup, Dutton's, CSU Long Beach and UCLA Women's Studies. Any ideas?

Dear John,
I enjoy your newsletter and try to do something everyday to promote my book. NEAR DEATH AT THE ER WINDOW is an autobiography. Those reading it will learn about the third leading cause of death in the United States. My spiritual path evolves as a result of my experience. You can get more info
on the books web site.
