Cross Linking: For Authors and Publishers
The Celebrity Cafe is now offering free cross linking in their author's directory: http://www.thecelebritycafe.com/links/Authors. If you need more links, check them out.

As you should already know, I also offer free cross linking on my BookMarket.com web site. I give any author or publisher web site a link as long as you link to my web site as well. That's what cross linking is all about.

The virtue of cross linking is that it can increase your web site page rank in Google and other search engines.

When sending page linking info to any other site, always include the following: site name, site URL, contact person, full address including phone/fax, email, and site description.

I don't like your Reciprocal Link requirement. Although a link to an author's site is relevant to Thecelebritycafe.com, a link back to Thecelebritycafe.com from the author's site might be a red herring. I only exchange links with travel websites, something the Thecelebritycafe.com is not. By only listing sites which give you a Reciprocal Link, you make it obvious that your author's directory is merely a ploy to obtain links to your site. Anyone can see that.

My apologies. I will actually link to any author's web site whether they give me a link back or not. I simply ask for a return link but I never check to see if any such link is made.

I don't need more links to rate high on any search site. I provide links to others as a service.

I overstated the case in my posting because I was trying to encourage people to cross-link with others since most author web sites have few if any links going out or coming in.

If you check out my web site, you will find out that I have more than 1700 links in and many thousands of links out (I haven't ever counted my out links).

In my web site I link to thousands of sites that have never linked to me.

John, I didn't read your original post carefully enough and jumped to the conclusion that Thecelebritycafe.com was one of your own sites, which it's not. My apologies to you.
