A-fucking-MEN! I've been preaching and preaching to writers to stop selling themselves short - it's killing us all. If you let one person undervalue you, you've screwed yourself and your fellow writers. It's a business, dammit! Act like a business person and not some insecure little simp who can't live without accolades. Accolades don't pay the mortgage!
I was laughing so hard I cried. He puts into words what all of us PROS have experienced so many times. As I tell people, I can't EAT my clips.
We've all seen the freelance writing sites like Elance and Guru totally exploiting amateurs who are willing to work for peanuts. It never ceases to make me angry.
