It's excellent practice, and your reviews will have far more influence than most media mentions because your opinion is placed at the point of purchase. With this portfolio, you'll have an easier time getting assignments from mainstream publications and websites.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Build up enough reviews, along with "Was this review helpful" votes from others, and book publishers will start sending review copies to you. My company routinely pitches high-ranked reviwers on Amazon because their endorsements can lead to sales.
